Household Storage
Why Choose Household Storage in Arkansas?
Houses fill up. The garage stops fitting a car, the spare room turns into a storage room, and the attic gets too full to walk through. Household storage gives you somewhere to put the things you're not ready to part with, so the rooms you actually live in go back to being rooms.
You have a choice of two kinds of unit, and the right one depends on what you're storing. Drive-up units let you park at the door and load straight from the car, which is what you want for furniture, appliances, and boxes by the dozen. They're available at nine of our ten locations. Climate-controlled units sit indoors and hold steadier conditions through an Arkansas summer, which matters for photographs, documents, electronics, and anything wooden. You'll find those at Springhill Rd in Bryant, Main St in Little Rock, Maumelle Blvd in North Little Rock, Highway 35 in Benton, and Carl Moren Rd in Hensley.
We have ten locations across central Arkansas and the Arkansas River Valley, so there's usually one near the house rather than across town. Every property is fenced and gated, you enter with your own code, and a protection plan is available for what you store. Sizes and availability vary by location, so open the facility page nearest you to see what's free, or call and we'll help you work out what you need.
What You Can Store
What to Keep in Household Storage in Arkansas
Most of what comes into a household unit falls into a handful of groups. Here's what our customers store, and which kind of unit suits each.
Furniture
Sofas, beds, and dining sets load easily into a drive-up unit. Wood and leather pieces keep better in a climate-controlled one.
Appliances
A spare refrigerator, a washer, or a dryer is heavy and awkward. Drive-up means you carry it a few feet, not down a hallway.
Seasonal decorations
Holiday decorations, patio furniture, and lawn gear only get used part of the year and don't need to live in the garage.
Kids' and sports gear
Bikes, camping kit, and sports equipment take up more room than anyone expects. Keep it together and get the garage back.
Clothing and linens
Out-of-season clothes, bedding, and curtains keep best indoors, where damp can't get into the fabric over a long summer.
Photos, documents, and electronics
Prints curl, paper warps, and circuit boards corrode in damp air. These belong in a climate-controlled unit.
Arkansas Household Storage
Who Uses Household Storage in Arkansas?
Household storage usually starts with a change at home. Families moving house take a unit for the gap between closing dates, or to empty rooms before the photographs are taken. People downsizing keep the furniture and keepsakes that won't fit the smaller place, often for years rather than months. Households mid-renovation clear a room to the walls so the work can happen, then move everything back when the dust settles.
Growing families store the cot, the high chair, and the baby clothes between children instead of giving them away twice over. Anyone clearing an estate gets somewhere neutral to sort through a lifetime of belongings without a deadline hanging over it. And plenty of our customers simply want the garage back, so the car fits and the workbench is reachable again.
You'll find units in Bryant, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Hensley, and Pottsville. Every property is fenced and gated with coded entry, and you can rent and pay online rather than making a trip to the office.

How to Pack a Household Storage Unit
Sort before you pack, since the cheapest unit is the one you don't fill with things you'll never want again.
Use uniform, sturdy boxes so they stack square and don't collapse under the ones above.
Label every side of every box and keep a list, so you're not opening six boxes to find one lamp.
Take furniture apart where you can, and keep screws and fittings in a labeled bag taped to the piece.
Cover upholstery and mattresses with breathable covers rather than plastic, which traps damp.
Empty and dry refrigerators and washers fully, and leave their doors slightly open.
Keep heavy boxes low, lighter ones on top, and leave a center aisle so you can reach the back.
Put photographs, documents, and electronics in a climate-controlled unit rather than a drive-up one.
